Net Notes - Firefox note-taking add-on

netnotes2: Net Notes Firefox is a very popular web browser. It's open source and is supported by a community of users and developers.
One of the ways the support manifests itself is in the form of add-ons, extensions and plug-ins.

One of my favorite add-ons is Net Notes.

It's a small add-on, very easy on the system's resources, and makes bookmarking a little more purposeful.

It's not a fancy plug-in, but what it does, it does well.

If you've ever found yourself bookmarking websites with the intention of coming back to them later, but forget to until you end up with an unmanageable bookmark list, Net Notes might be the solution you're looking for.

Net Notes makes bookmarking interactive by making it possible to add notes to individual pages and sites – it's a great way to quickly remind yourself about what drew your attention.

You can give the add-on a keyboard-shortcut, or put a button for it in your tool-bar, so that when you're surfing or researching online and come across an interesting site you simply open the Net Notes side-bar, make a quick notation of the item that drew your attention, maybe copy and paste the relevant text, and Net Notes automatically adds the site, including your notes, to your bookmarks.
There's no 'saving' required, because notes are saved whenever you close the sidebar – you can keep right on working.

Net Notes makes keeping track of interesting sites and articles just a little bit easier.
