The Freedom to Drink Tea!

TheAdventuresofTeaMan.pngThe freedom to drink Tea is such a basic right that we sometimes take it for granted.

You'd think that the freedom to read is just as an inalienable right as is the right to drink tea, but it's not.

Censorship is alive and well, and the vast amount of reading material available to the general public is often only available because groups such as The Freedom of Expression Committee exist.

The Freedom to Read website is one of the committee's projects, which, among other things, exists to promote the annual Freedom to Read week.

Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed them under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The next Freedom to Read week is February 20th-26th, 2011. It's a reasonable proposition. Check out their website at: http://www.freedomtoread.ca
